Marathon – Run For The Planet

Run to protect the environment

 On October 6, 2024, a marathon was organized in Sriperumbudur by Anand Group of Companies and Iniya Udaiyam Trust to raise awareness about environmental issues. The event, held from 5:30 AM to 8:00 AM, covered 2.5 km and  5 kms route and aimed to highlight concerns like global warming and air pollution. With over 18 companies supporting the initiative, 1000 saplings were planted during the event. Special guests, including Mr. Udayakumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, and Mr. S.R. Ramanathan, retired official from the Chennai Meteorological Center, flagged off the marathon. Over 1000 employees participated, making it a huge success in promoting environmental protection.
